You

One day you will know
what you had to do and begin,
though the voices around you
keep shouting

And you feel
the old tug at your ankles,
the familiar burden
on your shoulders.

You breathe deep
and look up,
walking through
their melancholy

Little by little,
the voices are left behind,
stars began to burn through
dark clouds that once were.

And you find
a voice so familiar and dear,
your voice
you forgot you own.

And you realise
the only person you can save,
is the only life
you can live.
